Dear there ,
Rest is not withdrawal. It is rehearsal.
Before athletes perform, they condition. Before musicians step on stage, they practice. Before the earth blooms, it stores energy.
Your body works the same way.
When you rest deeply, your nervous system recalibrates. Your emotions digest. Your mind reorganizes.
Resilience is not built in the push which tests your limits. It is built in the pause. There is a parasympathetic shift that restores your baseline. Deep rest is the biological “rehearsal” that allows for the integration of skill and the tempering of the spirit.
This month invites mind body restoration as fuel for what is coming. This week, I offer yoga nidra as part of your rest practice based on the 7 stages of Swami Satyananda version of yoga nidra. The seven steps include:
Preparation (Shavasana)
Resolve (Sankalpa)
Rotation of Consciousness
Awareness of Breath
Feelings and Sensations
Visualization
Ending the Practice
Resilience grows quietly.
With steadiness, GalandaB Elementa Wellness
