Dear there ,
We begin February not with romance, but with remembrance. For many of us, love isn't just a present-tense experience. It's ancestral. Inherited. Lived through generations.
This week, I invite you into a reflection on Ancestral Intimacy , a form of love that transcends time. Whether you're connected to your roots or still discovering them, there is wisdom in remembering that someone came before you. Someone prayed for your softness. Someone survived so that you could heal.
There are several leaders in the mindfulness space that are rooted in indigenous wisdom that you may consider following for their unique perspectives.
Practice: Ancestral Love Letter Write a letter to an ancestor. They may be known or unknown. Thank them. Tell them what you're healing. Share a hope for the future you’re creating.
If writing isn’t available for you, consider
Creating a simple altar with a candle, a photo, a fruit offering. Let your remembrance be a form of love.
Sing a song in dedication as a form of love
Offer a clap, dance, prayer or whatever you feel led to share
With reverence, GalandaB Elementa Wellness
