Hey there ,
September is National Yoga Month, and this year, we’re slowing it all the way down.
Rather than focusing on poses or flexibility, we’re turning inward — toward emotional awareness, breath, and the inner observances of yoga that support true rest.
Each week, we’ll explore a theme to help you reclaim wellness not as a quick fix, but as a sacred relationship. You’ll also be introduced to the Niyamas, the ethical teachings from yoga philosophy that guide how we care for ourselves from the inside out.
🧘🏽♀️ Here’s what’s ahead this month:
Sept 4: Wellness Isn’t a Moment — It’s a Relationship Focus: Making space for wellness through the lens of Saucha (clarity & cleansing)
Sept 11: We Don’t Need More Hustle — We Need More Harmony Focus: Embracing presence and balance through Santosha (contentment)
Sept 18: You’re Allowed to Soften — Discipline Can Be Loving Focus: Boundaries, rhythm, and inner truth through Tapas and Svadhyaya (devotion & self-study)
Sept 25: You Deserve to Feel Safe in Stillness Focus: Releasing control and finding rest through Ishvara Pranidhana (surrender)
Each newsletter will include:
A gentle reflection
A rest practice or journaling tip
A Sanskrit mantra or affirmation
And soul-rooted insight to help you integrate these teachings into your daily life.
Let this month be an invitation to pause, breathe, and come home to yourself — in body, in spirit, and in rhythm.
You don’t need to be a yoga expert — just willing to explore. I’m honored to walk this path with you.
Announcement
I’m excited to be a speaker at an online summit called the Rest Revolution.
The summit is all about turning around your relationship with rest and creating a life of meaning. Our intention is to help women deepen their relationship with themselves and relax, so they can rest more fully!
Starting September 14 and ending on September 21, the Fall Equinox, I’m joining 12 other Rest Revolutionaries to share our diverse messages about rest and how it contributes to balance and a renewed sense of vitality in our lives.
As seasoned yoga teachers and practitioners, we intend to share our experiences, knowledge, and tips and tools that you can put into practice for better rest. If this piques your interest, or you know some other women you can invite to this free event, please feel free to share myrestrevolution.com.
With deep exhale, GalandaB Elementa Wellness Facilitator
