Hey there ,
Making Peace With Anger
Anger is often dismissed as dangerous or unproductive—especially for Black and brown bodies, where expression is policed or pathologized.
Research from the American Psychological Association shows that suppressed anger can contribute to depression, high blood pressure, and chronic pain. But when acknowledged with awareness, anger becomes a source of clarity.
Anger is not inherently destructive. It is often the voice of a boundary we didn’t know we needed. Instead of silencing it, we can learn to listen to it with care.
Affirmation: My anger is not destructive. It is directional.
Prompt: What boundary is my anger trying to help me protect?
