Finding Peace and Resilience After a Disappointing Result
Hello there,
It has been 10 days since the election. I know how disheartening it can feel when the outcome is not what you were wishing for. It’s completely natural to feel sadness, frustration, or even a sense of hopelessness.
Continue to take time to process these emotions — they’re valid. Remember, true change often comes from ongoing dedication, resilience, and the everyday actions we take to support our values and communities.
In the meantime, try to focus on managing these feelings in ways that feel supportive. Spend a few moments each day journaling or talking to someone you trust about how you’re feeling. Practice deep breathing or meditation to ground yourself in the present moment, letting those emotions flow without judgment. If possible, spend time in nature, move your body, or engage in a creative activity to help bring some lightness and release.
While this moment may feel overwhelming, these steps can help you reconnect with hope and strength over time. And remember, reaching out to others can be a powerful way to share the weight and find comfort. Check out my thoughts on managing emotions during challenging times in my Post Election Tea video.
Take heart, and know you’re not alone in this.
Warmly,
GalandaB
