May Day is here to kickoff celebrating spring, femininity and the soon to come summer. One tradition includes gathering flowers. In France the day is knowns as La Fête du Muguet, or Lily of the Valley Day. In Hawaii, they celebrate as Lei Day. In Ireland, yellow primroses are sprinkled outside of the doorways. May is also a celebration of fertility and we can see that with many plants and trees coming into their full bloom.
