Today is recognized across many parts of the US to celebrate the freedom to consume a long used medicinal and spiritual plant. I am offering that whether you participate or not, agree or not, you decide where joy resides in your life! Everyday you have the option to experience:
You define what you gain pleasure and happiness from based on the experiences and emotions that you have. Joy can be found in a cool breeze, laughter, a smile, a song and in any other number of ways. I invite you to take a moment and think about what you found joy in this week. If you have a journal, jot down at least one thing. This practice of reflection on joy is a form of gratitude which science has shown that gratitude is beneficial for your:
physical health
cardiovascular health
improved sleep
reduction of stress
And so much more!
